Current Freshmen should have returned their course request forms to their English teachers for next year. If you have not done so, please do so ASAP.
Mr. Carter and Ms. Sgro are currently meeting with current Sophomores to discuss schedule requests.
Enrollment sessions and math placement exam dates should be finalized this week. Thank you for your patience.
Thank you to all who stopped by our booth at the Showcase! It was a huge success. We look forward to seeing you at our 8th Grade Open House this Thursday, November 1st at 6:30 p.m. Go to the enrollment tab to get info on the application/enrollment process.
The JCPS Showcase of Schools is happening this Friday and Saturday at the convention center downtown (10/26 and 10/27).
We also are having our 8th grade open house on Thursday, November 1st at 6:30 at Ballard.
Please visit the enrollment tab on this site for some information about how to enroll at Ballard. Space is limited and applying does not guarantee admission.

The summer reading list is now posted under the Documents and Resources tab on this site.
Report cards have been delayed because we are waiting for End of Course assessment scores from the state. Once teachers in those content areas have the scores, they can finish their grades and we can send out report cards. Report cards should be mailed out the week of June 18th. Thank you for your patience.
If you have been granted a transfer to Ballard for 2012/2013, please fill out the enrollment form and schedule request form located under the documents and resources tab and return to Mr. Johnston at Ballard. Please do this as soon as possible.
Every incoming freshman needs to take our math placement test. If you have already taken the placement test, you can expect a letter in the mail early this summer indicating the math class that you have been placed in (either Algebra 1, Algebra 1 honors, or Advance Geometry).
Ms. Sgro and Mr. Carter have started visiting Junior English classes to talk about courses for next year. Parents should be expecting to see schedule request forms coming home for them to sign. Freshmen and sophomores are next!
Reminder: Next year, we will be making the move to a 7-period day. Keep that in mind as you select your courses.
